You
Open
And shut your mouth
A hard think to ignore
Your pawn
Who’s keeping score?
I’m right where I belong.
Not wrong,
But I’ve had doubts
I’m right where I belong.
A host doesn’t want you to feed
But it doesn’t see
Devotion to making you weak
While they grow strong
Leech
Held on
I spit you out
Cleaned you from my tongue
So long
Won’t turn around
Right me from your wrongs
Moved on
I shut you out
I’m right where I belong
Break the bond
Break the bond
Break the bond
I’m glad
So glad
You’re gone.
You’re gone.
A host doesn’t want you to feed
But it doesn’t see
Devotion to making you weak
While they grow strong

Japanese Breakfast just keeps getting better, and I'm all in. Jubilee is humorous and haunting, lovesick and protective. A warm record; both because it calms you, and because you've played it so many times the mechanism is begging for a break. Maybe next time-- for now, I'm dropping the needle on "Posing in Bondage" all over again. jessehd
Delicate yet powerful. Introspective, evocative. It's a window into this stranger's life that reflects my own memories and my own emotions. The title track is a paradox that wrestles with the vulnerability created by sharing these songs which proceeds musings of wanting to be both with and without friends/family. It's deeply personal and I feel blessed that she shared this with the world. herb_
Impressively ambitious in scope, a wondrous experience you see the likes of one time and one time only. Absolutely stunning, gorgeous and heart-wrenching, it's become one of my favourite albums of all time in the span of a few months. napalmsatan
